About Domain Privacy Protection:

Anyone who owns a Domain Name is required by ICANN (as a policy) to provide accurate and full contact information for their domain ownership. By default, this information is made public by ICANN through WhoiS service.

Once you register domain names along with your ownership detail is bound to enter into any free-to-use Whois search tool, and anyone can retrieve the Whois information that has been made public. So, if your personal information is not protected, they will retrieve it.

This personal information left open can end up with unsolicited marketing and sales contacts, and spam, and may allow your domain to get hijacked.

With a domain, privacy protection enabled your contact information anonymous by replacing real contact information with that of the privacy service and randomly generated email addresses not given in public.
